Historical Code Notice: The Indian Penal Code, 1860 was repealed with effect from 1 July 2024. For acts committed on or after 1 July 2024, please refer to the corresponding provision of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
Whoever commits criminal breach of trust shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.
